Wellspring Christian Life Centre

Kids of all ages gathered in the name of Cooking!! With aprons donned and mouths watering, the kids enjoyed putting their culinary skills to the test as they moved from table to table, recipe to recipe. There was biscuit making, smoothies, apple pies, pizzas, rice bubble bars to choose from, with most of the children getting to make all of the above (and eating all of the above!!). By the end of the night, everyone had bellies full to the brim (hopefully none were overflowing, if you know what I mean). Thanks to Josy and her team for doing an excellent job in preparation and on the night, and thanks to all who attended. You made the night a big success!

About 28 kids grabbed their pillows and came along to our first Movie Night held on Friday, 28th March at Wellspring Church, Yamba. The aroma of buttered popcorn filled the room (and covered a large portion of the floor!) as the children settled back to watch 'Underdog' and 'Meet the Robinsons'. Thanks to our awesome Kidsown Leader, Josy, for organising the event, and thanks to all who helped out and supported on the night.

Looking back at 2007 in children's church has been a very productive one. We have changed our hall so that now we have 3 teaching rooms and 1 multifunction room.

Our teaching rooms are air-conditioned with carpet tiles on the floor, we also have a whiteboard in each room to help with lessons. They have been painted with wonderful colours and are starting to have a picture painted in each room. We have put up some lovely new curtains and are in the process of getting a cupboard in each room so they are easily accessible to items of need (photos will be posted to website shortly). The children have done some items at church for fathers day and Christmas, we have some very talented children here.

2008 is going to be an exciting year also as we will have a new kitchen in very soon. We have a new fridge also and will be able to use the kitchen to make things as craft, or just to have yummy food from.

We are planning some outreaches this year our first one is going to be a movie night, the dates and times will be finalised soon, so keep in touch.
